The power of 'Why' and the golden circle

As Simon Sinek says, ‘People don’t buy what you do, they buy why you do it.’

Why do you do what you do?
If you’re struggling to find the answers to this, here are some tips to start you on your journey of finding the why, because believe us, it’s a journey:

  • Listen to Simon Sinek’s ‘Start with Why’ Ted Talk.
  • Go for a long walk.
  • Dwell and sit with yourself. Why you do what you do? Why you get up in the morning? Why do you want to make money from doing this?

Play these why’s back. Can you trust and believe in your why? When you feel like you can share it with your team members, your family, a confidant – then you’re on the right track.

In this episode, Charlotte from Live Consultancy and our Elle share their experience of finding their why. They discuss exactly why they do what they do, other than to make money.

Once you've uncovered, discovered and documented your why, now's your chance to outline your how and what. The majority of your competitors will start with the what - even we, at Drew London hold our hands up to starting with What: "We are a full-service creative agency with brand identity at our core"
